These signs are at the airport as it is the main mode of transport if the roads are flooded.
Balgo has an approximate population of 450 people and can otherwise be found off the Tanami track.....a very bumpy and long corrugated dirt track that runs from Alice Springs and Halls Creek. In the wet season it can be completely shut off.

Welcome to our blog. It took us a very pushed 3 days to get to Balgo with no major incidents except a smashed back window form a car passing 5klms out.



humble, small but it's our home

This was a day out with some of the locals finding bush tucker...tomatoes...potatoes, war paint...then we cooked kangaroo tail...sooooo glad I don't eat red meat!!! and the ladies made damper....that was yum!
